Biography
Marilyn is a Masters-prepared registered nurse in the position of Senior Vice President – Operations with AgeCare-Seniors Communities. She is accountable for ensuring all operations of AgeCare continuing care communities meet and/or exceed Provincial Care standards, Accommodation standards, Accreditation Canada standards, quality care and resident safety while providing the best quality of life experience for residents.
AgeCare has more than 2,500 beds in two provinces (BC, Alberta) of independent seniors living, designated supportive living, dementia care, complex mental health program and long-term care. She is also accountable for AgeCare's quality management framework and education across all care communities. AgeCare supports many practicum students across its communities and participates in research and quality improvement initiatives with various partners. Marilyn has worked in healthcare her entire career within nephrology, interprofessional education, workforce optimization, healthcare simulation and continuing care.
