Biography

Shannon Parker has been an active member of the Clinical Simulation Learning Centre team since 2008.  During this time she has offered experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate nursing students as well as participated in interprofessional learning opportunities utilizing simulation as a learning modality.

Ms Parker continues to be involved in nursing education through simulation as well as teaching within Terms 3 and 4 of the BN program at the University of Calgary.  Her past experience in neurology and neurosurgery, healthy public policy and addictions and mental health provide  a wealth of experience upon which to draw when developing and offering optimal learning environments for students.
