The study of concepts foundational to the profession and discipline of nursing. Exploration of concepts of complexity, transition, social justice, ethic of caring, health promotion and principles of population health. Emphasis on understanding the social commitments and contributions made by nursing within its professional scope of practice. And an overview of the Canadian health care system. Corequisite(s): Nursing 287, 288 and 289.
