Appointed to the Faculty of Nursing in 1970. Retired in 1988. Awards: Viscount Bennett Scholarship (1962), Canadian Nurses Foundation Fellowship ($3,000, 1969), Superior Teacher Award (The University of Calgary Students' Union, 1977), The University of Calgary Research Award ($1,000, 1982), Rehabilitation Nursing Award (Calgary General Hospital, 1986). Areas of Teaching: medical surgical nursing (1970-77), post diploma program (1978-84), fourth year of the generic program and second year of the post-diploma [nursing issues, management and independent study] (1985-87). Areas of interest: nursing management, nursing issues and professionalism, rehabilitation nursing and long term care.
