Bio

Dr. Edna McHutchion joined the Faculty of Nursing as an Assistant Professor in 1987, becoming Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in 1989, and Associate Dean for Programs and Student Affairs from 1990 to 1991. During the time she was associated with the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary, Dr. McHutchion became nationally recognized for her work in Palliative Care, culminating in serving a term as President of the Canadian Palliative Care Association. Throughout her tenure at the University of Calgary, she was also known as a highly respected mentor to students at all levels.
