Profile

Tracey is a full time tenured track instructor who joined the Faculty of Nursing in June 2008. She has worked in the area of oncology, hematology, and stem cell transplant and as an advanced practice nurse within the Advanced Vascular Access Service at the Foothills Medical Center. Tracey currently serves as co-chair on the Hematology, Oncology, Transplant Program Family Centered Care Committee at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. She also serves as the current chair of the Community for Scholarship in Teaching and Learning within the Faculty of Nursing. She is an inaugural member of the Teaching Academy at the University of Calgary, Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning.  She was the recipient of the Student’s Union Teaching Excellence Award in 2010/2011, and was nominated a second time for this award in 2011/2012. Tracey was nominated for a Covenant Health Faculty of Nursing Teaching Excellence award in 2012/2013, and received a University of Calgary Teaching award for Team Teaching in 2014.
