Profile

Dr Deb McNeil is Adjunct Associate Professor, Faculty of Nursing, University of Calgary and Director Research and Innovation, Alberta Health Services. She has worked in a variety of roles in nursing in Neonatal Intensive Care and Public Health including conducting research in early maternity discharge and newborn behavioral development. In the past 14 years her research has focused primarily on preterm newborn feeding problems, perinatal anxiety and depression, childhood obesity, health equity, and Aboriginal health. She leads a team of Scientists and Research Associates whose mandate is to support decision making by generating and applying evidence to inform practice and policy.
