Welcome to the website for current and future UCalgary Nursing undergraduate students. As a proud graduate myself, I am always excited to talk to those undecided students who think nursing is their path for the future as well as to those who absolutely know that this is what they were meant to do.

Nursing is a tremendously diverse career for women and men and our program at UCalgary sets us apart from other Canadian nursing schools.

Teaching and learning is our priority and we have a unique curriculum, designed to connect your theory courses simultaneously with your clinical practice: your classroom learning mirrors the clinical setting you are in at the time. To supplement that clinical experience, simulation provides an excellent opportunity for some practical experience in a safe setting. Our faculty members will continually challenge you, stimulate your critical thinking, and provide you with the best possible learning environment.

As you progress through your studies, we want you to enjoy the other opportunities open to you. Whether you are a quiet leader or like to be highly visible, the student experience at UCalgary is unparalleled. While the time constraints of a nursing student mean you don’t have a lot of free time, we still manage to have a lively and vocal student government and lots of volunteer opportunities for you to connect with other members of our nursing community.

Your path to excellence in nursing starts at the University of Calgary. Please connect with one of student advisors today to learn more about how we are leading the pursuit of nursing excellence.
