The Contemporary Topics in Aging Stackable Certificate is uniquely tailored to support the development of advanced skills and knowledge in the care of older adults, whether you're working in an acute care specialty unit, community health service or in a long-term care or supported living facility.

Innovations in Teaching and Learning

The Innovations in Teaching and Learning certificate prepares participants for advanced practice in clinical, simulation, and classroom education.

Leadership for Health System Transformation

In the Leadership for Health System Transformation certificate program, students apply principles of personal leadership, systemic leadership, and innovation to healthcare contexts, primarily from the perspective of issues and challenges confronting nursing leaders. 

Healthcare Innovation and Design

The Healthcare Innovation and Design Specialization aims to equip professionals from a range of backgrounds, such as engineering, design, nursing and other health professions with the technological knowledge/skills and inter-professional competencies to lead healthcare transformation.

Oncology Nursing

The Oncology Nursing specialization is comprised of four online courses with a focus on preparing nurses for advanced practice in oncology while offering University-level credentialling, or that lead to a graduate degree in Nursing.

Master of Nursing: Thesis-based (MNTB)

Master of Nursing programs prepare nurses for advanced practice in focused areas that may include direct clinical practice, education or health policy/leadership. The Thesis-based program offers a focused, supervised research experience in an area of focus where we have faculty who are expert nurse scientists.

Doctoral (PhD)

The Doctoral program at UCalgary Nursing develops nurse scientists who are expert clinical scholars equipped to provide leadership in nursing practice, research and education.

The degree is designed to educate professionals for excellence in nursing scholarship through original research.
