Debriefing Level II

Effective facilitation of a simulation-based learning experience requires a facilitator who has the education, skill, and ability to guide, support, and seek out ways to assist participants. Engaging in effective debriefing is an essential skill that a facilitator requires to support learning.

This micro-credential is designed to give you the opportunity to examine the best practice standards that inform simulation facilitation and describe two methods of simulation debriefing, Plus-Delta, and PEARLS.

Learning Goals

Upon completion of this micro-credential, participants will have the opportunity to:

Examine

Examine the INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Facilitator.

Describe

Describe the two methods of debriefing Plus/Delta and PEARLS.

Completion Criteria

Submit a maximum 1-page reflection on a debriefing experience you have had and discuss how you understand your role as facilitator during debriefing.
