Biography

Heather Shantz is a Clinical Nurse Specialist with the Palliative Care Consult Service at Foothills Medical Centre and has had an Adjunct position in the Faculty of Nursing since 2004. Within the Faculty of Nursing, Heather has shared in the teaching of the Palliative Care course, has been a guest in graduate courses examining the role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist, has been a preceptor for several Master of Nursing students, and is currently serving her second term on the Graduate Curriculum Committee. She holds a Certification in Hospice Palliative Care Nursing with the Canadian Nurses Association.
