Biography

Kathleen Benjamin graduated from the Royal Victoria School of Nursing in Montreal. After several years of clinical practice, she returned to university and completed a BScN, MScN and PhD at the University of Ottawa. She worked at the University of Calgary in Qatar (2012 to 2020). Her research focuses on the promotion of healthy lifestyles. Her Masters research examined the attitudes, social norms, and control beliefs of frail seniors towards exercise and her doctoral research studied how the social organization of personal support work in long term care homes influenced the physical activity of seniors. Dr. Benjamin is a published author.
